The 20th Annual NYC PictureStart Film Festival (2016) will be held June 4 - June 7, 2016. Venue, time and programming to be determined. NYCPSFF accepts short films of all genres, narrative and documentaries. Submissions of short films and short film scripts are sought from filmmakers and screenwriters of all backgrounds and levels of experience and entries are accepted year-round. Films are selected for festival screenings on the basis of artistic excellence.
Films from the following countries have been accepted and screened at past NYCPSFF: Turkey, South Africa, Israel, Colombia, Australia, Mexico, Canada. U.S., South Korea, Russia, Japan, France, Spain, U.K., India, Sweden, and Germany. We continue to look for films from all over the world to screen to our New York audiences.
Films must be no more than 30 minutes in length, including credits. Screening format must be DVD (US Region, NTSC). Entrant is responsible for conversion of films to screening format.
SHORT FILM SCRIPTS
Short film script competition. 30 pages or less. Must be script formatted using final draft or comparable program, and submitted in professional format.
