Jury for 2014
Peter Kelley (Acting coach/Director/Writer) - Peter Kelley has worked professionally as an acting coach and a writer and director of film and theatre for over fifteen years, and is currently an on-set acting coach for both NCIS - LA (CBS) and DOLLHOUSE (FOX).
As an acting coach, Mr. Kelley's clients include Chris O'Donnell, Eliza Dushku, Dane Cook, Spencer Grammer, as well as numerous on-air and public figures, and most of the crazed crew on HBO's "Tourgasm" bus.
He has conducted seminars for the Screen Actors Guild New England, Southwest, and Midwest, among others; he co-taught "The Feature Film Audition," with John Lyons. Mr. Kelley is currently on the faculty of Boston University's School of Film as well as the Studio at C/P Casting in Boston.
Shortly after joining C/P to run the Studio, Mr. Kelley began casting for C/P; his work included Boston principal casting for over a dozen feature films and hundreds of regional and national commercials.
Mr. Kelley is also an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker; The Path Most Resistance, Mr. Kelley's most recent film, premiered in New York, was a selection in over 18 festivals worldwide, and was an official selection in competition at the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival.
Elexa Ruth (Creative Executive - Worldview Entertainment) -
Ms. Ruth is a Creative Executive at Worldview Entertainment, a leading independent motion picture studio that finances, produces and acquires theatrical quality feature films. She is responsible for development, production planning and festival operations, in addition to all social media.
Ms. Ruth is currently working on Kim Farrant’s thriller, STRANGERLAND, starring Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman; John Hillcoat’s crime thriller, TRIPLE NINE, starring Academy Award nominee Casey Affleck, Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anthony Mackie, Aaron Paul, Oscar Issac, Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson; as well as Justin Chadwick’s period drama, TULIP FEVER, starring Academy Award nominee Christoph Waltz, Dane DeHaan and Alicia Vikander.
Prior to this, Ms. Ruth was Program Director at The Roots of Music in New Orleans, LA, music education program for at-risk youth. During her tenure, she oversaw creative, programmatic and fundraising efforts. Ms. Ruth holds a B.A. in English from Tulane University.

Our goal: to build a sustainable distribution model for non-mainstream film. K.C. is an alumnus of New York University, where he studied Film and Television Production at Tisch School of the Arts, and worked as an assistant to a variety of producers and directors on both independent and Hollywood productions before teaching himself how to code and starting Vyer Films.
John M. Bennett - (Producer) John M. Bennett produced the 2009 documentary Sundance Grant winner, Standing Silent, about child molestation abuse by Rabbi’s in an orthodox Jewish community in Baltimore; 22 Years From Home about Kuek Garang, a Sudanese “Lost Boy” who was separated at age six from his family and who at age twenty-eight, discovers his family is alive and living in Kenya after twenty-two years of assuming they were killed. John has also produced, The Betrayed for MGM, the Edoardo Ponti directed film,Coming & Going, starring Rhys Darby and Sasha Alexander that premiered on TNT Network. Bennett most recently produced the Magnolia distributed film, Playback, starring Christian Slater.
Most recently John produced the documentary: Alex & Ali, the story of a gay American Peace Corp volunteer who moved to Iran in 1968 and fell in love with an Iranian man. They secretly shared a life together for ten years and just prior to the Islamic revolution igniting, the American was forced to leave Iran, and his partner. The couple was reunited after 35 years in May of 2012 in Turkey. Their reunion turns into a political and life threatening ordeal. "Alex & Ali" will be premiering at the 24th annual Inside/Out Film Festival in Toronto in May 2014.
